Day 1: Map Guide of the Best Attractions of the ATL!

9:00am- Partake of Breakfast at West Egg Cafe!

Kick start your day at the West Egg Cafe that serves Southern fare. The decor is beautiful, while the menu has southern specialities. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at this spot.

10:00am- An hour with the whales at Georgia Aquarium!

Head to the Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest aquarium. The aquarium features beluga whales, sharks, crabs, octopi, jelly fish, penguins and other animals of different species in fresh and marine water. Swim in the tank with the whales at the Georgia Aquarium.

11:00am-Tour the World of Coca-Cola!

Head over to the World of Coca-Cola and know the history of the world-famous soft drink-Coca-Cola. This spot has interesting exhibits that showcases the Coca-Cola story.  It also has a 4-D theatre and a bottling station. Sample the products of Coca-Cola from across the world.

12:00pm- Walk in the Park!

Head over to the Centennial Olympic Park (265 Park Avenue West NW, Atlanta, GA 30313, United States) that hosted the 1996 Summer Olympics. The park has the famous Fountain of Rings. Many events, music performances, concerts and other programmes are also held at this park year-round.

After spending some time in the Centennial Olympic Park, head over to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights that provides an interesting insight into the civil rights movement. It was a key arena in the fight for equality and freedom. The center has artifacts from the Civil rights movement period.

3:00pm-Explore the Story of the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. King at Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site!

Head to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site, and know about the early years of the United State’s first civil rights activist.  Next to the center is the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Martin Luther King Jr. preached. Then stroll to the King Center, where he was buried and is the site of Dr. King’s tomb. Then a short walk to the Martin Luther King Jr. home where he was born, and other memorabilia.

4:00pm- Explore the ATL History at Oakland Cemetery!

Head over to the Oakland Cemetery where some of the well-known figures are buried- Margaret Mitchell, the author of Gone with the Wind; Ivan Allen Jr. and Maynard Jackson, the Atlanta mayors; and Bobby Jones, the golfer. Stroll around the brick pathways among the attractive gardens, monuments and mausoleums.

4:00pm-An hour with animals at Zoo Atlanta!
